CFDD is a welcoming network of professionals who support each other. The network challenges members to grow within their profession and earn professional designations to enhance their career.
CFDD members guide, coach and assist each other as they share expertise and experiences about day-to-day challenges and situations, whether it’s taking a class needed for certification together, tips and assistance in preparing for a professional designation exam or guidance to solve a work challenge.
CFDD Chapters host educational sessions and networking events. Chapters plan meetings based on topics of interest to its members. Timely roundtable meetings, where members exchange ideas about challenges and solutions, is a favorite!
Networking is always encouraged and welcomed at CFDD events and meetings. When someone is looking for a new position, all that is needed is to inform their network; it is not uncommon to learn that positions are found and filled before openings are ever publicly posted.
CFDD members develop leadership skills by learning, emulating and doing. Many local Chapter leadership opportunities can lead to national leadership roles and responsibilities. From event planning to fundraising, CFDD members develop leadership skills through volunteer service.
At both the Chapter and nat ional level , CFDD members work to raise money to fund scholarships awarded to help supplement or cover the cost of continuing education classes and events. Many CFDD Chapters help their members as they pursue professional designations to support their career goals.
