NACM Quarterly Metrics Survey
A Benchmarking Resource for Credit Professionals
The Quarterly Metrics Survey is an NACM initiative designed to collect and report on real-time trends in accounts receivable performance. Conducted quarterly, the survey tracks key credit and collections metrics, giving members access to valuable data they can use to benchmark performance, monitor payment behavior, and make informed decisions.
This survey was developed in collaboration with NACM and the SAS Institute. It reflects a growing need within the credit community for timely, industry-specific insights into credit operations and customer payment trends.
What Is the Quarterly Metrics Survey?
The QMS is a quarterly survey of NACM members that gathers key performance indicators (KPIs) from credit departments, including:
- Accounts Receivable Aging
- Monthly Collection Activity
- Charge-Off Percentages
- Credit Department Staffing
The goal is to create reliable, aggregated benchmarks that help credit professionals compare performance, track payment behavior by sector, and respond more confidently to changes in the credit landscape.
