Romelio Hernandez, President, HMH Legal S.C., Tijuana-Baja California, Mexico

Romelio Hernandez is president at HMH Legal, a law firm that focuses on creditor protection in Mexico and Latin America, with debt collection, litigation, secure transactions and due diligence investigation services. Based in Tijuana-Baja California, México, Romelio works extensively with foreign firms, exporting companies and collection agencies, assisting them with out-of-court and legal collection efforts throughout the region. His more than 20-year litigation experience and exposure to international commercial law has allowed him to guide foreign firms in mitigating the risks of selling or extending loans internationally. Romelio graduated from Universidad Autónoma de Baja California and was admitted to practice law in Mexico in 1997. He holds a masters’ degree in comparative law (LL.M.) from the University of San Diego School of Law (2011).
