About the Speaker

David Bryant is in Business Development for John S. James Co. He has been working for the organization since 2003 and held positions in imports (including customs clearance and Foreign-Trade Zone movements), export NVOCC operations, documentation, rates & pricing, inside/outside sales, Director of Business Development and International Transportation Manager. David has taken an active role in outreach and educational events throughout the years designed to assist members of the trade community in their international business for exporting.

Over the past few of years, David has been a guest speaker at Export University 101 events throughout the Southeastern U.S., and has been a repeat guest speaker for the Dept. of Commerce on webinars covering topics such as Export Compliance, Export Documentation, INCOTERMS and Temporary Exports. In the course of navigating the export maze, David strives to deliver a common sense approach to exporting. He believes that U.S. companies can arm themselves with knowledge and awareness to the compliant nature of exporting and continue to be profitable and successful in new foreign markets. David holds his Bachelor’s degree in International Business and a Master’s Degree in Marketing from Strayer University.
