Ehsan Hosseinzadeh, a managing partner with the Tehran-based Educated Lawyers international law firm, Iran, has extensive experience in a variety of areas, including corporate, contract, antitrust, intellectual property, legal research and insolvency. He has authored numerous articles, and his client list has included the World Bank. He a member of the Iran Central Bar Association and speaks English, Farsi, Azerbaijani and German.
Jeremy Paner, of counsel for Holland & Hart, focuses on economic and trade sanctions compliance issues among other areas and provides risk analysis, compliance and avoidance advice to private clients. Jeremy served for six years at the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), where he gained extensive experience in a variety of issues involving economic sanctions. Highlights from Jeremy's OFAC career include numerous sensitive and complex investigations and actions against Iranian-linked financial institutions, and the identification of a key Al-Qaeda financier. During his time at OFAC, Jeremy also gained significant experience adjudicating petitions for removal from the Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) List.
